This is a multimode installer so you have access to the following switches:
-ai = Silent
-ai1 = Passive
/h = displays help


This package is uninstallable from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

The Multimode Installer should be installed from RunOnceEX and not from SVCPACK.
If you are not familiar with setting up RunOnceEX than you should download one of the Addons instead.

Addon for RVMi 1.6 or higher.

Integrate this addon to run the installer at RunOnceEX.
There will be progress boxes but NO user interaction is required.
Passive mode is used since setup takes a while, this way you will know
where you are in the setup process. Final installation will take

For those users that have installed versions prior to 1.07 and have found that they
can not uninstall their dotNet Framework through Add/Remove Programs, I have created

Let me know if there is a need to add KB961118 for WindowsXP to this package ?
I do not think that any post SP3 update packs will include it as it is only if .Net 3.5SP1 is installed.

To finish this install I may install the French langpack 31MB. It's include .Net Framework 2.0 and 3.0; x86 and x64.

Is there any how downsize it by building a langpack only for .Net Framework 3.0 x86?

sorry for any delay but i do not log on daily.

the error you show is when the system for some reason can not find vs_setup.msi in it's installed path.
i know the installer places it there and IS present on your system.

i do not think the .Net Family 3.5 SP1 can be uninstalled even tho the choice is listed in add/remove programs.
if the .Net frameworks are installed individually uninstallation is available.
some others may want to comment from their experience.

as i mentioned when posting the french version

i wonder if you can install the french on top of the english?
in any event all tests should be done in a VM before any live usage.

All test i've made are in a VM. Then the Microsoft .NET Framework V3.5 SP1 - Full was installed in a VM.

I'll test the french on top of the english installation this afternoon if i' have time. Otherwise, week after next week. I'm going for hollidays.

Anyway, I wonder installing the french version in a clean VM to be sure everything working fine in my unattended DVD. Then my question is:
Is there any how to uninstall manually the Microsoft .NET Framework V3.5 SP1 - Full?

Sorry for the delay, I just comeback and already made the test.
TNX for the link of .Net Clean Up Tool... very usefull.
After uninstallating all .Net Framework, I tested first dotNET35SP1_fr.exe... it works just fine
Then I uninstall again all .Net Framework, and install NET Framework V3.5 SP1 - Full english version and install the french on top of it. The installation run as an update... and it works like a charm

BTW,
1) The given dotNET35SP1_fr.exe (KB961118 is not included with this installer). What KB961118 does do?
2) dotNET35SP1_fr.exe installation create 2 directoties C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 and \v1.1.4322. They include mscormmc.dll and 5 .config files.
3) when I run Add/Remove Programs i have Microsoft User-Mode Driver Framework Feature Pack 1 in addition to Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0; 3.0 and 3.5.
